M16 Eagle Nebula, September 4, 2007 - First Light with my new setup. The seeing was very bad. The jet stream was overhead, M16 was just above my tree line and everything was jumping around. The best the auto guiding could do was an RMS error of just under 2 pixels. And, as usual, all the moisture in the air turned every star into little fuzz balls. But it was great fun using my new equipment.
ST-2000XCM, LX200 14", 6.3 focal reducer, MI-250 mount, Gemini, G4 PowerBook, Equinox Image software. This is a clip stack of 15 4-minute exposures. Guiding was continuous for the hour so aligment was not needed.
