Having problems after an Equinox 6 update install

• Sometimes the preference file can get corrupted after an update install.
• First, write down your registration code (visible in the Registration Panel, Equinox menu).
• Now go to <home>/Library/Preferences and delete the ca.microprojects.Equinox6.plist preference file.
• Launch Equinox 6 and enter your registration code.
• If that does not solve the problem please contact Microprojects support.

The sky display is completely dark after an Equinox 6 update install

• The sky display view angle may have been set to 5° and nothing is visible.
• Hit command + 2 to set the view angle to 120°.
• If you still can't see anything please contact Microprojects support.

Equinox 6 hangs at launch - stuck on "Initialize: Math engine"

• This is an endian issue and you have copied the Equinox 6 folder from a PPC Mac to an x86 Mac.
• Go to the Database folder and trash all the files in the folder (don't trash the folder itself).
• When you launch Equinox 6 again that will force it to regenerate the database in the correct endian.

Equinox 6 and Equinox Image Installation Requirements

• These programs must be installed from your admin account. Each user account will get its own preferences.
• Both Equinox 6 and Equinox Image have separate versions for Tiger and Leopard. Use the installer.
